I bought Revlon Mineral makeup ($9.99) and (4) 12 pks of coke ($13.00)! Total was $22.99 plus tax. I used a $4/$20 CVS coupon and $18.95 in ECB’s. In return I received another $13 ECB’s ($9.99 for buying the makeup and $3 for buying the 4 packs of coke) to use next visit!
I also bought $89.74 worth of stuff from Krogers for $16.34! $5.68 of the $16.34 was taxes! Dang the Gov’t. Anyways, I bought a apple pie (craving), 4 dole fruits to go packages (great for lunches), 24 pieces of cover girl makeup, potato chips (I was craving that too!), milk, feminine items, razors, hair color, that’s all I can remember. I was too lazy to take a pic!
I decided to add my top 3 blogs that I read daily. These sites are a great resource for saving money! I have not spent more than $36 a week for groceries. This includes meats and produce! I even had to put a second pantry in the basement because we have to many shelf stable food items! I truly encourage to at least put 1 hour a week into these sites and you will save TONS of money. So after my score at CVS it was time to take advantage of the $10 for $10 and 11th items free sale at Meijers!
I decided to make up trip into 2 transactions. I had too many of the same coupons and wanted to take advantge of the double coupon policy. Meijers will only double 2 of the same coupons. Any identical coupon used in the same transaction will be at face value.

I feel so uber hip! I have my first blog! I am 40 and exploring the mighty wide web.
I would like to start blogging about life. I am passionate about my family, finances and work. I recently went on a financial diet. I am currently living off of $140 a week. All this in attempts to become debt free and be who ever the heck I want! I don’t want to feel I have to work. Don’t get me wrong I love to work. I don’t think I could ever not work! Just the feeling of need versus want is what I am after.
I enjoy reading about self-sufficiency. My fiance and I have tackled projects little by little to help get us off the grid. I have started knitting projects (very sad scarf but my fiance wears it proud), growing my own garden, canning, frugal living, and many other stuff. This is all really neat for me since I was born and raised in Long Beach, California. VERY urban! Put it this way, I didn’t know there was “spaces” between cities. I thought America was one huge city! My family was ghetto! My family scammed welfare and many were in and out of jail and did drugs. I was the weird one and never got into any of that. Ok off my tangent and back to where I was…………
Oh, I consider myself a zombie on antibiotics. I say this because I feel all people who are in debt are just like zombies. Since I am still in debt I am a zombie too…..except I am trying to change back…..so I am taking antibiotics to heal myself. Ok weird I know but that is how I think.
Yup, I never was normal. Even when I thought I was. I have always been different even when I didn’t mean to. Example, I come from a traditional Hispanic family. Sadly my family always said “you and your white ways”. This because I studied, listened to new wave, and left the neighborhood…..oh and most of the men I dated were “white”. I was also different in other ways, I always knew I would be in the military. So I joined when I was 19. I was a Marine for 12 years. Not only was I a Marine I was in a non-traditional role in the Marines. I was an ordnanceman on FA-18′s. Currently I am a supervisor in a manufacturing plant. I directly supervise 123 employees. Which makes me crabby at evaluation time!
I am a mom to 3 kids who understand that their mother likes to eat beef jerky, drink beer and knit at the same time.
